    November 20, 2016 - Transparent garnet color. Aromas of cherry, rose, tar, and mineral. Medium body, acid, and finish, with flavors of cherry, black tea, orange peel, and mineral. Tasty and varietally correct nebbiolo.

    September 27, 2015 - Weinprobe 1. Flight: Marengo vs Pr del Barbaresco Langhe Nebbiolo:
    - Marengo ist ein toller, klassischer Langhe Nebbiolo; schon in der Farbe ggb. dem Prod del Barbaresco zu erkennen
    - Auch PdB ist ein schöner Wein aber einfacher und weniger spannend
    - Klarer Sieger: Marengo

    September 20, 2015 - Marengo Nebbiolo Valmaggiore vs Brezza Nebbiolo:
    - Farbe: Beide wenig konzentriert, der Brezza sogar noch etwas leichter in der Farbe
    - Brezza mit starker Säure, mittlere Tannine. Mit etwas Luft moussiert der Wein etwas. Am zweiten Tag etwas runder. Schöner Wein.
    - Marengo etwas besser integriert, nicht ganz so dominate Säure. Trotzdem schöne Frucht (Kirsche - typisch Nebbiolo). Dafür stärkere Tannine als der Brezza.
    - Für mich ist heute der Marengo der Sieger. Wirklich toller, burgundischer Nebbiolo mit starken Tanninen.
