  August 31, 2018 - Les Deux 2018 (Chez Gill): Showed gorgeously. Showed a hint of oak to start, but then loads of red cherry and bramble/earth. After about 4 hrs open, this had a wonderfully perfumed nose...one of the wines I wanted to keep revisiting. On the palate, started a touch thin but fanned out considerably with time open. Elegant red fruit, and nicely structured finish. Second wine tasted in the flight.
  
  Day 2: perfumed nose continues today, after it warms a bit. A touch rustic on the palate, but a spicy warm cherry nose..vosne like. On the palate, delicat and a touch rustic..maybe volnay/pommard like. Together it is definitely its own thing with the bit of bramble..

  April 23, 2018 - A fine, somehow mysterious nose with wild strawberries, blood orange, cloves, green herbs and earthy notes. Well balanced, fresh, focused and precise. Salty, mineral finish. Comparable to a good Volnay Premier Cru.

  October 29, 2016 - Decanted for 45min. Pale garnet. A: Beautiful seamless ripe stems, just ripe cherry fruit, and a hint of earth. P: Seamless fruit, stems, earth, and a bit of bark with moderate tannins on midpalate and back followed by stems. Elegant, silky texture. Waves of flavor shifting in the mouth. F:Elegant nice long finish w waves of flavor shifting to and fro. Nicely done.

  July 25, 2016 - Needs more time to mature. Slight bouquet of earth and cherry. Delicate Pinot to accompany a summer night at the Cape.
