October 9, 2020 - After my first bottle was badly oxidized, I grit my teeth while opening this one. Thankfully no issues here. A beautiful aged chenin profile of honey, toasted nuts and crushed stones. The expansive palate of poached pears, orchard fruit and lanolin is matched by citrusy acidity and an excellent streak of minerality. This threads the needle well between broad & generous, and mineral & tense. Drinking really well today.
September 8, 2017 - Reduction with smoky and charcoal notes. Big acids and length on the palate.
May 4, 2017 - Le vin présente une robe or pâle scintillante. Le nez est moyennement expressif, sur le citron vert, les fleurs blanches, avec un jolie fond minéral (silex, salin), ainsi qu'une note de cire d'abeille et de fruits jaunes amers. La bouche est tendu, expressive et goûteuse, avec une acidité tranchante, c'est complexe, salin, touche de réglisse en milieu de bouche, qui se transpose sur une saine amertume que l'on sent jusqu'à l'arrière de la langue, il s'étire très longuement sur une finale salivante... Il nettoie littéralement la bouche... Un vin sérieux, complexe, pas racoleur pour 2 centes. Il faut l'aérer et savoir l'apprivoiser mais quel vin!

February 20, 2017 - Un beau Saumur blanc mature, à l'acidité tranchante, minéral, touche citronné, cire d'abeille, amandes vertes. Il nettoie littéralement la bouche, s'étire sur de beaux amers, pour se terminer sure une finale légèrement saline. Un vin sérieux et surtout pour la table.

February 14, 2017 - Big puckering acid up front. A rich and full wine on the palate. Big flavors with a bit of petrol.
January 9, 2016 - Has settled down from its explosive youth. Now projecting a more mature expression of Chenin Blanc. Nice smoky notes on the palate. Very delicious and goes down fast. Progressing nicely in the cellar.
October 24, 2015 - Crisp and precise, chalk with a twist of lemon, very nice.
