March 22, 2011 - My mindset was to hate this, because of the high alcohol. But, it does not show up on the palate. So I am more pleasantly surprised. Nice cherry (surprise) fruit, tannins still on the harsh side, some decent acidity. All in all, a very decent new world syrah.

December 17, 2010 - Tasted non blind. Opened and served immediately. Followed over the next 90 minutes. Dark garnet to purple color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of violets, camphor, plums, currants and black berries. Flavors of berries and cherries with a hint of mint on the finish. Medium acidity, medium to firm tannins, medium to full bodied. Drink or hold. I'd drink. 90?
