June 25, 2016 - Lemon/straw colour. Fruit-driven, with aromas of pear, grapefruit and even tropical fruits (papaya, longan), lemon zest, minerals and crushed flowers. On the palate: pear, apple, a whiff of apricot, stony minerality. Medium body, medium(+) flavour intensity, medium acidity - this relative lack results in a certain flabby quality on the mid-palate. Medium, austere finish, especially relative to the otherwise strong fruit characteristics. Pairs better with spicy seafood, but even then the lack of acidity lets it down somewhat. At around $35, great QPR though.

January 5, 2016 - Excellent depth to this white. Minimal acidity but that worked here, allowing the fruit room.
