Community Tasting Notes 6

January 4, 2021 - The wine was clear and ruby at the core and lighter at the rim.The viscosity was high and alcohol was 14.5 %.
On the nose the intensity was medium and the aromas were of prune, hard candy custard and overripe cherry.
On the palate I tasted cherry, bacon fat, white pepper and green pepper. Th tannins and aid were medium and the alcohol high. It was chewy , complex, smooth and had a long finish. For 12 Canadian this was a great buy.

    The main grape was Grenache.

    January 16, 2016 - Decent taste, but great value. A mid-week wine.

June 14, 2015 - Exceptional value. One of the better CDRs I've had in recent memory. Well balanced and bright.

April 6, 2015 - Greeted with a surprisingly big floral and pepper nose, a bit like lavender and jalapeños, with some stony minerals in the mix. Tasted like blackberry, cherry, lavender, black olive, black pepper, sage, smoked salmon, and copious amounts of garrigue. Quite tannic, but not unpleasantly so. If you like this kind of fruity and savoury Rhone, it's glorious.

February 21, 2015 - Very good village wine, tastes like a mini CNP , surprisingly peppery/spicy. Very good for the money.
