    April 18, 2020 - Rich, tannins completely resolved and integrated, but not a lot of acidity here within an hour or two of opening. Delicious on the first day, but soft, and somewhat atypical for a Barbera.

    I enjoyed it, I am not sure I would hold if I had another bottle of this. But I bought my bottle at a retailer's in May 2017

    March 17, 2018 - Great, matured Barbera. Deep, dark, red color. Rich, dark, fruit fresh off the bottle. The underlying structure and the acid comes through after several minutes and receded again the next day. Earthier on the second day. I think the 2010 Campolive that I had a few years back had a bit more acid, was a little more harmonious. This one is also very good though. Quite enjoyable. Went really well with the pizza. But I am not sure it has the stuffing to go another 2 years.

    March 16, 2018 - Relativ kühle Nase, Hollunderbeeren, Zwetschgen. Am Gaumen sticht erst die perfekte Balance hervor, ohne glatt oder langweilig zu wirken.
    Auch eher kühler Charakter, wieder Hollunderbeeren, etwas Johannisbeere, tolle Minze im Finale. Tragende Säure und gut eingebundene Tannine - ein toller Barbera! Ja, in bester Reife!

    October 20, 2016 - Paitin Wine Tasting with Giovanni Paitin (Plum Market - Chicago IL): Tasting, brief note. An enormous step up vs the Serra. Black and red cherry with some plum notes. Much greater concentration and length. More firm, more cellarworthy. This seems to have more old vine concentration, but vines are marginally older than the Serra, but according to Giovanni Paitin, just in a location consistently better for Barbera. Very good value.
