March 31, 2017 - On first taste I would have rated 89 at best. Great floral nose but otherwise not what I was hoping for. After an hour or so of air the somewhat overbearing sour orange gives way to smoke, pepper, blood orange, meat, vanilla..rosemary? Very round flavors. Maybe a little short on the finish. Next time I'll decant and just be patient!
Second bottle every bit as good as the first. Perfect pairing with salmon with roasted fennel and blood orange sauce. -
