August 29, 2021 - A blend of the five Noble grapes, this is hitting its stride. High-toned bouquet flaunts black raspberries, cherries, and currants. Bright and full bodied, very expressive, with chewy tannin and a long, sapid finish. 91+
May 30, 2021 - Reminded me of a very good quality right bank effort from the 1990's.
Smooth, fully integrated, no one quality diminishing another. Not the most complex or serious wine, but pleasant enough with grilled loin lamb chops.
February 24, 2021 - Plenty of structure, still tannic though not overly so even after a three hour decant. Primarily presents red fruit (cherry, strawberry, cranberry) with some sweet, yet smoky overtones and a long finish. May need more time or may never fully come together, not clear based on tonight’s bottle, but I still think it’s a pretty good wine just need to be patient and give it some air.
April 5, 2020 - Smooth, medium bodied, fruit forward
October 21, 2019 - Drinking really well right now.
January 21, 2018 - A little disappointing honestly. A friend who has a lot of experience with this wine felt that other vintages were stronger. This was just indistinct and short. Fine for an everyday glass I suppose, but for that this would be way overpriced.
November 25, 2017 - I was disappointed. After more than 2 hours aeration still tight and tannic.
August 30, 2017 - Decanted for 90 minutes. Nicely balanced, with rounded tannins and a light dose of acid. Dark blackberry fruit.
July 9, 2017 - I love this wine. It's stellar for its price point.
July 5, 2017 - Some phenols on the nose. Cassis—slightly sweet--on the tip of the tongue. Then some stiff tannin. Then, unfortunately, some alcoholic heat. An OK wine, but probably not particularly memorable one.
