September 19, 2017 - Very funky, very delicious. My first wine from the magical hands of Ganevat. The juice pours a deep golden color with medium legs despite the youth. Though the wine looks like it has been through advanced stages of aging, the truth is anything but. Instead, it is a stylistic choice from Ganevat to create this oxidative character that carries itself from nose to finish. Ergo, it is better to consume this at room temperature rather than chilled. On the nose, this wine yields plenty of nutty character much akin to sherry. Along with the roasted, caramel nuts comes lemon curd, honeysuckle, smelly socks funk, honey, hay, and dried mangoes. On the palate, the wine is streaky and bursts with plenty of chalk, salt and minerals. In fact, the texture, angularity and acidity reminds me of Chablis. There are plenty of walnuts, grilled lemons, honey, mulch and oysters in the flavor profile. The end is very long and complex; and the wine finishes in a smoky, saline kick with just the faintest whisper of fruit. Very nice.

December 23, 2016 - Quite salty and somewhat sherried. Better warmer.

March 13, 2016 - Deep and rich flavours.
Very oxidised. Too rich for me (just don't love the style). Pass the Comte!

February 5, 2016 - Bright to medium golden. Decanted. Somewhat subdued nose at first. Bright, balanced, lovely acidity. White flowers, nice touch of slightly oxidative character. It does seem rather young at this point. Very nice stuff.
