August 21, 2023 - Leuchtend, saftiges gelb. Kühle, unaufgeregte Nase. Im Mund sehr lebendig, tropische Anklänge von Mirabelle und Papaya, die etwas an Sauvignon erinnern können. Einen Hauch zu viel Umdrehungen mit 13%, etwas weniger steht der Kupfergrube sicherlich noch besser. Etwas unter meinen Erwartungen geblieben, das Jahr 2013 bleibt tatsächlich etwas schwierig für mich.

November 23, 2022 - Short note - lemon, ripe red apples, peach (almost peach candy), very mineralic, high acidity, not as intense as the Felseneck/felsenberg GG's, long finish, medium complex, but very clean and precise, passionfruit, outstanding quality 92-93p

August 18, 2018 - A lovely wine, the 2013 Kupfergrube delivers a full throttle impression but also elegance and refinement. The nose offers up the classical notes of citrus zest, freshly cut white flowers and subtle lilac. The palate follows through in the same excellent way expected with everything in place and a lovely balance. Of course acidity is pretty forward as in all young dru Rieslings, but not to an overwhelming extent. On the contrary, this wine keeps circling around the elegant paying field in a very compelling way. Texture and structure tell me this wine is certainly in it for the longer haul. Give it a decade of beauty sleep and see for yourself. Overall impression is very positive - certainly a very nice effort!
