  May 31, 2019 - Ruby red in color. 15.8% ABV. Prodigious nose of jammy red and black fruits, licorice and white pepper. Full bodied Zinfandel with ample acidity. Big, bold and modern in style. Surprisingly well balanced. Raspberry liqueur, strawberry, earth and white pepper on the palate. The finish is long with pronounced chalky tannins. Howell Mountain Zinfandel at it’s very best. Drink over the next year or so.

  January 19, 2019 - One of the best zins I've had in a while. Gave it at least 90 minutes of air with great benefit. Dense hues. Very full-bodied yet smooth wine with delicious and complex blackberry, dark purple, and deep blue fruit. Really don't taste the 15.8% alcohol but the wine is not shy. Big finish. Easily goes toe to toe with the big Turley's, Carlisle's, and Bedrock's although a tad on the $ side.

  December 25, 2018 - Maybe a bit of fall off from last bottle. Still big and strong, a bit less boldness and powerful flavor.

  June 2, 2018 - A perfect pairing with a 2 inch thick prime beef filet loaded with Jack Stack rub and black pepper.

  April 7, 2018 - I am probably under rating this one. Incredibly smooth and inviting , big but not over ripe. Even better after open for 60 min.
