September 29, 2015 - Like a delicious Beaujolais in philosophy, but not in taste. The tannins are firm, so while I thought the fruitiness was good for this being served cool to cold, the tannings preclude this.. BTW this bottle the tannins have softened a lot since the first this summer so ..
Anyhow the fruit is delightful and forward but with backbone...see above.. great with lamb and mushrooms.
May 6, 2015 - Sight: Cloudy bright purple
Nose: Grape soda, sweat, spices
Palate: Utterly delicious. A wine to throw back and enjoy.
April 12, 2015 - Pale purple colored, cloudy at the core but transparent at the lim.
Baked sweet potato, violet, lavender, blueberry and gariggue mineral. Reminiacent of austrian zweigelt, morgon, and corbierres at the same time.
Medium complexity in a easy drinking format, slight high-toned volatile character is adding additional charm. However, this volatility caused me serious headache just after several hours.
Still astringent at the after-palate, would be interesting to keep for a little while.
October 13, 2014 - Light and interesting. gummy cherry, light blueberry.
August 22, 2014 - Milky garnet with med-lite viscosity in the glass. Yogurt, cherry, stewed strawberry, spice and nuts on the nose. Lite body and highly accessible. Soft red fruit core with a halo of yogurt, flowers, spice and minerals on the palate. Med-short finish. Simple and easy Summer drinker. Screw and pour, because it showed oxidative qualities with air.
August 2, 2014 - Cloudy red. Lots of Syrah aromas. Medium weight with an almost carbonic profile. Interesting combination of flavors that is showing pretty well now.
