Community Tasting Notes 10

September 18, 2021 - Red cherry, red berries, earth and spices on the nose. Medium bodied (14.5% ABV) with bright and expressive red cherry upfront. Mid-body is balanced and open with touch of black cherry, but mostly red cherry and brighter red berries. Backside shows tart red cherry, trailing off to tart black cherry. Acidity and tannins provide structure and the wine finishes with earth, spices and mineral notes. Overall, shows its fruit well, but would have enjoyed a touch more depth and complexity. The elements are coming together well and it could even show a bit more improvement with time. I'll plan to open my next bottle in Q2/Q3 2022.

September 30, 2020 - Gang of 4 in Covid19 times; Brunello (@ RW): In the bouquet earth, forest floor, mushrooms, oak and some stable smells. On the palate dark berries like blackberries, cherries, chocolate juicy acidity and pleasant bitterness. Beautiful wine. 90 – 91+
