October 10, 2021 - Color: Dark garnet red with no browning.

On the nose dark cherries, tar, dried roses, licorice. Really classic Nebbiolo, however a bit tight

On the palate it is really mature. Silky smooth tannins but still with an edge. It really coates your mouth. Dark cherries, dark chocolate, long lasting aftertaste. Like a cascading waterfall with fruit, tar and acidity.

A fantastic glass which I would recommend drinking sooner rather than later.

October 2, 2021 - Excellent window. Fruit still present with good acidity, tertiary aromas, roses, sweet licorice, herbs. 30 min decant.

June 28, 2021 - Eric opened it in 8 hours ahead of serving in bottle, but too long for air. The wine was like some aged Burgundy wines with great nose but lack of body structure and acidity. We opined it should be served at most 2 hours in opened bottle in consideration of its age and the grape.

June 6, 2021 - Abbot Street Delights (Abbot Street, Ngaio, Wellington, New Zealand): A bouquet of perfection, that shows total refinement, classic rose petal, and Nebbiolo varietal fruit quality. The palate is gorgeous, the quality of the fruit being quite stunning - focused, ripe, but totally refined, and quite tannic. Essence of Nebbiolo and drinking at a peak of maturity.

March 3, 2021 - This one is unusual to me compared to what I normally drink. I smell menthol and taste licorice. On the dry side for sure. It is good, just very different from my typical Bourdeaux or Napa cab.
