Nez : complexe ! Cuir, vieille barrique, arômes balsamiques, café torréfié, épices-bois, fines herbes grillées, champignons et moisi...cave à vin, fruit liquoreux, et notes florales...superbe ! Fruité, souple, fondu, ample, étagé, harmonieux et sapide. Saveurs de fruits noirs mûrs...cassis, cerise noir et mûres, et liqueur aux bleuets. Également de moka, de cacao, de cannelle et vanille. Ultra long...délicieux !!
September 7, 2023 - This is an outstanding red blend. Still has lots of fruit flavors even after 12 ears!
August 20, 2023 - Rich, opulent, notes of strawberries and less so of cherries. Fine and well integrated tannins. Excellent with rare ribeye.
March 27, 2022 - Dark cherry and plums with citrus notes and a hint of Brett or saddle on the nose. A delicious balance of berries, chocolate, and burnt caramel underpinned by hints of leather and tobacco. Tannins give a velvety mouth full, while light acids cleanse and refresh. This is structured and complex, with a long, long, finish that starts with chocolate and flowers and ends with hints of basil and thyme. This was a joy and went empty way to quickly.

August 29, 2020 - Luscious, deep, lingering finish that does not quit. Tobacco, chocolate, berries, and caramel. Amazing mouth feel and depth. I doubt you could find a Napa wine with this level of fun, sophistication and taste for less than $200 - $250. Pulled cork, and then placed bottle in cool water for 7 hours to hold alcohol at bay.
March 28, 2020 - We opened and slow ox'd for an hour or so and then decanted through a vinturi and then drank over a few hours. As I said in a previous writeup on a different wine is that one of the benefits of being home all the time is you can slow ox and decant for hours. Anyway, the nose was all fruit with a hint of dark chocolate. The palate was dark cherry, dark plums, some green pepper and a hint of thyme. The finish, while without great depth, was lingering.
March 28, 2019 - Had two dry aged pieces of meat, so what to do?
Better try an argentine red, this one is supposed to be one of the best from high attitude Mendoza vineyards, right from the start this bottle is chewy with a delicious fruit on the palate, all kinds of herbs, really peppery, cuban cigar tobacco, tight black fruit, on one hand a well made high class cabernet blend, on the other a harmonic oversea revelation, not a bargain but no doubt about having a top notch red in my big glass, blossoms up with some more air, the tannin resolved and a little tasty sweet, great tension, rich and elegant generous long+ finish, **(**-?), 91, 92(+) potential
Last quarter of this bottle today, april the second, no tireness at all, still fruit in the foregroung, balanced, dense and tasty, juicy black fruit with herbs, impressive! 92- 93+
March 23, 2019 - 2 hours of decant. Lovely nose of bell pepper, leather and plum. Well-integrated on the palate. Aromas carry through on the palate. Very soft tannins. Beautiful finish!
