August 27, 2015 - Super minerally. Tastes more like a German wine than a Chardonnay, if that makes any sense. A great deal. Recommended. (Similar to my notes in March.)

July 1, 2015 - The Chardonnay kabinett trocken. This is really a great example of wine that you need to take on its own terms; if you were expecting a Chardonnay as you know it, you would be pretty disappointed here. But if you open your mind, there's a pretty interesting wine awaiting you. Crushed granite mineral nose (although I've never heard of Chardonnay growing in granite, but: here we are) and an intense fruitiness via the nose which brings to mind grated coconut and dried pineapple; palate is a bit effusive; salty and finishes a bit hot, but the mineral nose goes a really long way to counterbalance all these disparate sensory elements -- a pretty absurd bargain. I absolutely concur with the previous taster that this is a Chardonnay that feels more German than Chardonnay. But then that's what we want. At $10/bottle? That's insane.

March 28, 2015 - Intense minerality. A Chard with a real sense of place; no doubt it's a German wine first! Lovely wine, great bargain.
