June 4, 2021 - Small amount of leakage from cork has soiled the capsule. Cork is spongy and pulls out easily. Nose is red fruit, caramel and herb. Full bodied, sweetie and quite tannic. Some peanut skin. Seems over extracted and slightly oxidized. I have been unimpressed by this Domaine since the new ownership, around 2009.

May 22, 2020 - Decanted 2 hrs. Brick red, pale edges. Large bq w typical Nebbiolo traits of tar, flowers, some oak, sweet cherry/strawberry fruit, spices. Nice rounded tannins, plenty of acidity, fruit from fresh sour cherries. Fairly long, balanced aftertaste w lingering tannins, some alcohol. Feels a bit polished. While perhaps not a mainstream Barolo, it is not THAT atypical. Time to drink has arrived!
