November 22, 2023 - 2011 vintage. Popped and poured. Light-medium body (unusual for Knights Valley cab). Phenomenal nose of roasted sesame seeds and soy/teriyaki sauce reduction/glaze. Wanted just a little more oomph on the finish but was still very very nice. The super-distinct nose was unforgettable. 2011 wasn’t the easiest vintage but this is holding up well and looks to be drinking at/near this level for the next 10-spot. 11.22.23.

November 18, 2022 - Napa Valley - November 2022; 11/16/2022-11/19/2022 (Napa Valley): Tasted along side the 2011 La Jota Cab. Nose is grassy and has a glycerin component along with some earthiness and dried fruit. On the palate this one has softened with age and includes notes of black cherry, bubble gum, leaves/forest floor, eucalyptus and leather. The finish is incredibly long. Tannins are well integrated and acidity is moderate. Drinking very well right now and has some years left to go.
