November 25, 2023 - Similar to prior notes after a 2 hour double decant, except less opulent; delicious, drink or hold
November 17, 2023 - Very balanced ans elegant, enjoyed it with ribeye steak, the tannings are well integrated
October 6, 2023 - Similar to prior notes after a 30 min. decant at l'Ardente in DC; outstanding, drink or hold, no rush
May 17, 2023 - Generous but not overdone, red fruits over black. Tobacco, dark chocolate, balsamic, leather. After the ripe smooth fruit there is an elegance here. High acidity, suggests an early pick, the tannins remain grippy but very fine. Medium to long finish, complexity developing. Drinking now but is built for the long haul.
June 11, 2022 - Similar to prior note after a 1 hour decant at Torc in Napa; outstanding & ready to drink (like most 12s), no rush
May 27, 2022 - Very fruit driven style with lots of ripe dark berries, some tobacco and some cocoa. Full bodied, chewy tannins. Very young but enjoyable. Will gain complexity with more time. Drink from 2024 until 2035. (IG)
May 24, 2021 - Very smooth, elegant, yet with American ripeness and charm. Wonderful. Red and black fruit, tingly acidity and tannin. My wine buddy guessed correctly that this is not pure Cab. Has a healthy dose of Merlot, Cab Franc and Petit Verdot. Medium finish, some complexity. Young now, though gives pleasure, better in 5 years.
April 16, 2021 - Dark ruby; floral aromas mixed with black berries and tobacco; palate: blueberry, black cherry, blackberry with cinnamon notes. Mid-to-full body, very well balanced, smooth velvety structure. Reasonably-long finish...
Overall, great wine - ready to drink, but can probably age well
