February 20, 2024 - Absolutely stunning wine! Decanted 2 hours put back in bottle and took to BYOB dinner. Got even smoother during dinner in the glass. Enjoyed with spaghetti and meatballs. Wine is in the drink zone….so enjoy now!
December 16, 2023 - Aromatic. Still tasting fresh and focused on black cherry and blackberry, some licorice, and underlying baking spice. Fine tannins. Impressed everyone with its balance.
November 23, 2023 - Similar to prior note after a 2 hour double decant & went beautifully with the duck & chicken cooked for our Thanksgiving dinner; outstanding, probably at peak, drink or hold, no rush
October 27, 2023 - Corked. Sad.
October 18, 2023 - Too hot. And yet tasted thin on the palate. Decanted for about an hour before drinking.
September 21, 2023 - Three years later - no change.
September 17, 2023 - Soft cork, but it was able to be extracted. Herbs and spices with dark fruit on the nose. Tart ripe black cherry, blueberry, cola, vanilla, and a hint of chocolate and menthol. Probably at peak, doesn’t need more time but drinking really well now.
July 17, 2023 - Luis goes to Kenwood (The Kenwood): Unfortunately this only got 15 minutes or so in the decanter. Big and fruity, imagine that. Thick, dark, sweet, full of flavor.
June 21, 2023 - Excellent blend and drinking very well.
June 10, 2023 - Absolutely brilliant with tons of ripe fruit, iron, stone aromas. Tannins have resoved and the acidity keeps it fresh despite the ample alcohol
