March 26, 2020 - Really shows the characteristic profile of the vineyard, reminding me of Limerick Lane’s own estate zins from 2012. Those were perhaps a touch more exciting than this bottle, which nevertheless offers a very enjoyable mature Russian River Zinfandel experience.

March 28, 2019 - A wow zin for me. Simply delicious zin. PnP and drank with chicken breasts in tomato sauce and pasta. Balanced fruit and spice. Guarantee this one will disappear quickly. Drink or hold.

January 30, 2019 - Once again Mike and Jay have hit it out of the park. I don't recall ever having a bad bottle of Carlisle but this one just stood out a little more. Great balanced fruit and a nice long smoky finish. Carlisle wines keep getting better and better. This was opened along side the 2012 carlisle Zin and was favored more. I wouldn't hold this much longer as I think it has hits it peak.

September 25, 2018 - Lovely light fragrant nose of violets. Beautiful blueberry and blackberry fruit, not overly intense, but round and sweet. Firm, polished tannins and nice acidity. Everything is in balance. Lovely, long smoky finish with the fruit still in evidence. Although I would never doubt the long term aging ability of a Carlisle zin, this one strikes me as at peak now and for the next couple of years. It could get better, but there is no reason to wait.

August 10, 2018 - I have not yet had the patience to store a Carlisle this long. Fortunately, in this case, someone else did the storage for me. Wonderfully balanced Zin. Red and dark berries with the perfect degree of acidity. Last bottle.
