March 8, 2021 - High quality wine but lacking much excitement. Good nose, nice depth and mouthfeel, but with a touch of bitterness on the finish that didn't go away as the evening progressed. For my taste, not the best that N&N offers. 45 minute decant before dinner, drank over 3 hours or so. Good amount of sediment.

October 10, 2020 - Opened about 4 hours before consuming. Paired with a nice Wagyu prime steak from Mason Hill and loaded baked potato. It was a tad quieter than I was expecting but still that inky big boy full of balanced fruit. Stayed consistent while consumed over an hour plus of eating + tv. Highly recommended!!!

September 28, 2018 - The wine is deep purple in the glass with ruby edges. The nose shows dark blue fruit, burnt caramel, and cherry cola.

On the palate we found blueberry, blackberry, cola, tobacco, leather, and oak, all of it nicely in balance without any one element predominating. There was also a minerality on the back of the palate that came forward after a couple of hours. (Is that the “Rutherford dust” that everyone speaks of?)

Beautiful wine with everything nicely balanced, but we weren’t quite as dazzled as others.
