August 13, 2023 - Color was more pale than dark. The bottle was drinking beautifully. A real treat.

April 17, 2023 - By itself it was good, with chicken, broccoli and Alfredo sauce on eggg noodles it was magical. This was actually the 2013

April 16, 2023 - Fairly dark yellow for a Chardonnay. Butter and vanilla on the nose when cold. Oak. Moderate tannins, baked apples, orange zest, toast and a touch of meringue

April 1, 2023 - It took its sweet time opening but once it did (45 min) it was lovely and fruit galore. Drink to enjoy or hold.

February 5, 2023 - Very well balanced and drinking beautifully still do not think it has much more than a year or two more.

April 28, 2022 - Replacement for a terribly oxidized Vine Hill of the same vintage. A wonderful bottle. Bright straw color that deepened slightly with air. Fine chardonnay fruit and toasted almond finish. Drink up.

April 12, 2022 - PnP. Perfect cork. Medium light gold - no sign of oxidation. Lovely somewhat shy nose of tropical fruits vanilla creme brulee. Lovely sweet fruit on the palate with just enough acidity to prevent it from being cloying. Nice wine - more sophisticated and less high octane than is typical for Kistler in my experience. Drink up at age 10.

August 11, 2021 - Crisp fruit, pears and floral notes in the nose. Well balanced, nice complexity, and a medium to kong finish.

March 21, 2021 - A special wine for sure. Not for all as this is a full throttle CA chard. Mind you, its not a simple fruity oak bomb. It has both but they are as balanced as anything is when turned up to 11.

Unctuous nose with stone fruit, citrus blossoms, butter, sweet oak; medium to full body with prominent acidity and flavors of peach schnapps, lime zest, brown sugar(?). I found this slightly more enjoyable than the '12 Vine Hill Vyd bottling.

Bottle No. 8447. Not good QPR.
