Community Tasting Notes 4

July 30, 2021 - Ramonet Montrachet Lunch (Phoenix, AZ USA): Clean and precise aroma, exceptional balance, a complete wine with a memorable mineral finish that glides across the palate.

February 9, 2020 - drank with the 10 and 11, this initially started off powerful but compact, with a bit of woodsy tannin on the finish (which others weren't really detecting/complaining about). After 30 minutes that character faded, the wine opened up and began mimicking its older sibling...complex fruit, minerals, mint. After 2 hours it was a show stopper. not quite as flamboyant as the 10, but not far behind. Jeremy thought this will last longer, and i think that's right

February 8, 2020 - Acker Merrall Bicentennial Gala (Cipriani Wall Street - New York NY): Small glass, brief note. Served alongside the (slightly more brilliant) 2010. Plenty of apple, pear and some lemon with mint and floral support. Extremely ripe and elegantly textured with a stunningly long finish. My first time having this wine.

December 7, 2017 - Polished and precise, this was unsurprisingly the best wine of the night. This wine has crystalline purity, enticing cinnamon nose, and a tremendously long finish. I expect more nuance to develop in time, so as great as this was, I am expecting it to reveal much more in 6-10 years, and hold for a long time. A great privilege to drink this regal Montrachet...
