May 23, 2024 - Certainly past its peak but still drinking well. Tannins and acidity both tamed leaving a smooth drinking older wine. Drink up.
October 19, 2023 - Drank on a weeknight, then forgot I had vacuu-corked the rest of the bottle and placed it in my cellar, until 3 days later. Suprisingly, there wasn't much change during that time. This wine has completely mellowed to the point where it tastes good alone or with a meal, but lacks any real depth or excitement. I don't think it has much life left in it, but it's not dead. Very acceptable, but not much more than that.
September 15, 2023 - Solid drinker, nothing special. On the back end at this point, time to drink up if you got any.
January 30, 2022 - Opened this one past the recommended drinking window. The wine is still perfect and shows it full character: Cherries, tobacco, oak, subtle herbal notes, medium tannins, long finish.
June 20, 2021 - Evening on the terrace with good company and nice conversations. Very Tuscan: cherries, red berries, plums, leather, oak, earth, nice acidity. Soft tannins and good finish. A nice Sangiovese expression.
April 25, 2021 - Calmed down quite a bit. Pretty well balanced at this point. Went well with steak.
October 27, 2020 - Getting a little thin
December 6, 2019 - Fruity, ready to drink, uncomplicated. Throws a little sediment. Drink now and over next 2 years
December 27, 2017 - Another nice showing. Same as last note.
November 21, 2017 - This is an unbeatable QPR...excellent wine!
