September 17, 2023 - Winebid purchased. PnP in Conterno stems. The bottom line is that this wine is nearing its peak. A perfectly clean and acceptable bottle without any hint of oxidation. Honey notes are pushing through the surface layer of reduction which is itself beginning to fade. River stone, hints of vanilla and spearmint. Not too citric or concentrated but awfully pure.

August 14, 2021 - Nose is energetic perfumed. Palate is a big heavier fleshier fruit very vintage specific.

September 22, 2020 - Reductive but fruit is fat and flabby. Not as precise or focused as I like. Needs mineral balance.

May 11, 2020 - Light fruit with a hint of matchsticks. Palate is lean clean fruit lots of flora lift. Finishes clean dry. Not as abrasive in acids.

January 1, 2020 - Had the Ramonet Morgeot 2012 together with Leflaive Clavoillon 2012. So typical both of them, just as expected. Leflaive is more fresh and acidic even in the warm 2012 vintage. Leflaive wood on the nose but not as much as in eg 2010. The Ramonet is fatter and more charming. Toasted hazelnuts and butter on the finish. Leflaive finish is all about lemon and acidity. Both very nice and ready now.

March 7, 2019 - This bottle was a bit advanced. Right out of the bottle it was a bit disjointed and it seemed it could be premox-ed. However, after about 30 minutes, it really came together. After a couple hours - it was pretty amazing -Mineral, honey, butterscotch - rich - but very balanced and some decent acidity.

April 13, 2018 - Noticeable oak is unable to detract from the attractive nose of citrus, matchstick reduction, and minty herbs. The palate is rich and impressively concentrated without any perception of weight. The long finish lingers with suggestions of citrus and saline. The 2012 Morgeot is nice but I always find myself wishing the oak was more transparent in Ramonet's wines.

November 21, 2017 - Burgundy bottles drunk with lunch or dinner while in Burgundy; 11/20/2017-11/25/2017: Off the list at La Cabotte in NSG. Pop n' pour. This really benefited from air and was much better over the last glass or two. Really powerful with good concentration for a 1er cru. Not as much nuance or complexity at this stage, but a delicious and balanced drink.

October 14, 2016 - Pale yellow color, lovely from the start, lush nose, cream, sweet citrus, on the palate a great creamy Morgeot, hints of oak, fine depth, lengthy finish, mango and ripe citrus- but tending more towards classic citrus overall, nicely balanced, vibrant, as is usually the case- in a riper vintage the Ramonet style still yields an admirably framed wine, cuddly, lush and fun- very Chassagne, this should develop some with a little time and it will certainly hold, but it is very much open for business now and worth enjoying. **(*)+, 2020+

October 12, 2016 - A powerful example from Ramonet probably due to the vintage. It is not heavy or flawed in any way but there is so much power behind the initial nice and precise opening of the wine coming into the mouth.
