March 25, 2024 - Tobacco, truffle, potting soil, fresh and dried red cherry, black tea, and dried orange zest. M+ acid. M+ tannin has softened over the 14 years, bust still provides structure. Plenty of vitality remaining, thought possibly some concentration has faded to become medium, denting the overall experience a bit. M+ complexity. M+ aromatic intensity. Garnet color, edging toward tawny.

March 22, 2024 - This still comes across as young. There also was some oak initially, which seemed odd to me. Darker fruit tones, and still pretty stout structure. With air the oak note disappears, leaving a somewhat rich wine, but there is no sweetness, or over ripeness. This is pretty good, and it should drink well for a long time I think.

March 19, 2024 - Wonderful again. On the fuller more modern style but balanced and elegant. Mouthfilling, long finish.
