November 9, 2019 - Charleston V - the wooden anniversary; 11/6/2019-11/10/2019 (Charleston, SC (various locations)): This type of weekend really appreciates a good riesling or similar to break up the routine and this wine was def up for the job. Light and sweet and easy and quite enjoyable. I have of late found myself more sensitive to petrol in Riesling, but none of that here.

September 21, 2019 - PNP into Burgundy wine glass (“Root” day): Pale golden to the eyes.

Citrus fruits like grapefruits with some fresh stone fruits. Slightly smoky and vegetal in a good way. Very aromatic indeed.

Highly acidic balanced with residual sugar. Minerality is great too. Enjoyable with food. Clean and persistent finish.

Starting to get into a great drinking window for my taste and really a crowd pleaser. 92-93 points.

November 22, 2018 - From memory, lovely aroma with characteristic notes of creosote, white flowers. Crisp sweet fruit on the palate, great drive and focus. 50 + 17 + 17 + 8 =92.

July 2, 2018 - Opens up in a great way with slow oxidation in open bottle. More exotic, almost voluptuous, yet racier, more focused, saltier, and longer. Grand Kabinett! Score = a few days in the fridge.

June 27, 2018 - Primrose, starbright; nectarines, hessian, wet sandstone, chunky; grapefruit, Seville oranges & pith, marked acidity, plenty of extract & weight; has a dry edge to very long, clean finish. Proper Kabinett. Best left alone for a couple of years.
