January 12, 2022 - Continues to drink with lots of soul. An amazing Riesling that should continue to drink beautifully for some time to come.

April 1, 2021 - Online Blind Tasting #7: 1997 Horizontal: Note is based on a tasting sip in the morning on day one, ~4cl on the evening and 0,1l filled in a bottle and sealed with argon gas on the evening of day three.
    Glass: Zalto Universal
Clear, deep golden color. Clean, medium+ intense, fully developed nose. Ripe fruit, apple must and apple peel, botrytis, some oxidative notes, spices. Very deep and complex, but also a bit freaky.
Bone dry, but with lots of extract sweetness. Seems to have a lot of alcohol, but has only 12,5% abv. High, racy acidity, wonderfully integrated. On the palate yellow stone fruit, apple peel and must, very mineral, some botrytis. Very elegant, round and soft. Very deep, with good tension and density. Long and complex finish, driven my spices and some fruity, musty notes. For me at its full peak. Drink now or within the next years. 93-94

January 30, 2021 - dominated by fruit (apricot), some walnut, gout de petrole, high acidity, enormous power and length. Spectacular.

November 17, 2020 - Complex, layered, on the nose notes of quince, bruised apple, nuts, raisins, herbs, honey. On the palate well integrated acidity, dried fruit, minerality and great energy towards the long, persistent finish. A lovely expression of dry Riesling, totally unique and truly special. 92-94

October 18, 2020 - Unique. Aged in open barrels. Deep color with a mature Riesling nose. Lots of yellow fruits and just hinting towards an oxidative style (yet stops short). Unusually rich for this grape - lush texture. Never had anything like this but I absolutely love it. (96)
