December 10, 2023 - This was my first Oakville Farmhouse. It was really nice, although it's probably not getting better. It still has really nice fruit. Nice finish. A pretty good amount of sediment at the end of the bottle.

June 24, 2023 - Planned to decant but it wasn't needed. I could smell this all day and could practically do so from across the room. Palate is soft, tannins in the background with an awesome blend of black cherry, blackberry, plum. This gives me the overall feeling that I'm being swept away to an old deserted two lane highway with the top down and not a care in the world.

February 15, 2023 - Musty with hints of cranberries and blackberries. This wine was not corked but had this mustiness element. I decanted twice before dinner so think it opened. Just a very dark wine that did not show much. I’m very confused about Bedrock in general and have stoped buying them. I’ve had one decent Bedrock out of many and unfortunately have a bunch to drink and not lookin forward to them.

December 25, 2022 - short 30 minute decant, and it’s not as tight as I expected. Lovely blue and purple fruit, good velvety texture. Softer than Napa Cab, but the mouthfeel still feels so Napa-like. Always awesome to have this wine.

September 19, 2022 - One of the most enjoyable Bedrock wines we've had, which is saying something. Juicy, vibrant and delicious after a two hour decant, and kept improving. Years to go.

August 24, 2022 - After 2 years since the last bottle this still comes across and young and lively. Characteristic Bedrock juicy acidity with old-viney aromas and red fruit. Drink or hold at this point.

July 31, 2022 - 9 years old at this tasting, dry farmed ancient vineyard so this is a mannered wine, appropriate for a white linen tablecloth, silver cutlery, filet mignon dinner. Not a wine to shout about, but one that is deeply satisfying, that makes me linger and think about what is in my glass. A beautiful gorgeous wine.

November 18, 2021 - Starting to check back in on some 2013's (such a structured vintage) and while the best is for SURE yet to come.....I was pretty damn happy with how this drank after a little bit of air! Classic Bedrock dark/dusty fruits, but the Oakville Farmhouse has a very savory, old school element to it that's hard to pin down. But its delicious and very unique to the Bedrock lineup. Still incredibly tannic on the finish but drinkable now with air. Happy to have a few more for the long-haul but im not mad at all that I popped one tonight. Nice work as always fellas!

June 7, 2021 - 14.5% abv. Medium-dark ruby, very aromatic. Ripe plum, blue fruit, cassis, mint and olive. Plus depth, mouthfeel and length. Very well balanced with a prominent savory element. I'm wondering if the eight year mark is the time to begin opening the Oakvilles? This is a sensational wine!
