September 3, 2015 - Garnet color. Harsh cranberry nose. Stemmy, acidic, plum, green pepper, cherry. Very noticeable peculiar metallic funk. Tart cherry tones increase over time. Short to no finish. $5 for 500ml. Much better inexpensive wines exist; I do not recommend this.
May 15, 2015 - Very dark garnet. Rather simple nose of ripe plum, grape jam, a bit of smoke. Easy texture on the palate, with some tartness. Flavors are nothing to get excited about. Medium body. Finishes with a bit of tartness and metallic tones. The texture of this wine is better than most cheap wines, but the nose is weak and the flavors are, well, not strongly present. Drinkable? Yes. Likeable? Not much. 81 = good.
December 26, 2014 - Agreed with the other notes here. I was pleasantly surprised. Nice wine for the price. It does taste like a Cab, and there are no off flavors, which is saying more than many wines that cost twice as much and come in glass bottles.
October 31, 2014 - Surprisingly decent, for what it is. The Chilean fruit shows a little cabernet sauvignon character, dark and smoky. While this is a little thin, it certainly exceeded my expectations, and it's vinous, clean and drinkable enough, more so than many overblown cabs at much higher prices.
October 26, 2014 - Dark color, black cherry on the palate, smooth tannins, medium finish. Not out of this world but surprisingly good at the equivalent of $4.75/bottle.
August 8, 2014 - Was very surprised that this wine is as good as it is. Medium to dark color, dark fruit on the nose with a hint of oak. Soft on the palate with more dark fruit and more oak, with a fair degree of acidity. Not complex, but tasty and easy drinking. Better than many bottom-level Cabernets. No green or off-flavors.
