December 16, 2020 - Subtle berries on the nose, light fruit and prunes. Not past prime. Likely in its wheelhouse now.

October 14, 2019 - Decanted for an hour. Did not enjoy this as much as I did a year ago.

July 1, 2019 - This bottle's arriving into a peak plateau. Nose of lapin cherry with graphite and vitamins, same on palate. Mouth-filling, silky tannins, nice finish. Drink or hold thru 2025.

August 30, 2018 - Good showing. Andouzed the bottle about four hours in advance, and found the usual Napa cab suspects barely into secondary development. Loads of structure--supports my original theory of 2025 or beyond.

July 21, 2017 - First crack at this wine since March 2016, and it has improved significantly. Now has the depth and finish I would have expected based on others' reviews. Concentrated fruit core with mint and oak, as others have noted. Substantial finish, and just as good on day 2 with Vacuvin. Seems to me this is just starting to get into its prime, and likely has many years left.

July 2, 2017 - A gem value from the 2011 vintage. Quoting another CTer, who nailed it: "dark garnet; spice, mint, cassis, oak nose; mid-big body; tight tannins". Lots of depth and class.
