  May 24, 2015 - A translucent ruby red colour, some hints of roses, red fruit, oak and tobacco. The palate is totally unbalanced, there's some fruit, but not a great deal, but the acid is high, the tannins aren't smooth and the finish is very dry, like black tea, and very short. Oh dear, not particularly good. 78 points

  January 26, 2015 - Wine Education Service - Italy - Piemonte (LSE): Light orange at the rim, translucent.
  Rosehip syrup with a tarry note.
  Soft fruity attack, good balance, very long.

  December 23, 2014 - Quite translucent, a crimson core but thick copper rim. Gave a 7 hour double decant. Nose is very soft, of blueberry, tobacco leaf, occasionally of rose petals. Quite straightforward, very shy. A bit of fruit on the palate, but not much. Tannins were just about palatable after the long decant, but still very pronounced. Acidity is quite high, which in the absence of any real fruit just leaves it feeling quite sour, tart. Thoroughly unmemorable.
