September 18, 2023 - Developing nicely. Plenty of fruit present, lime and nectarines, tertiary miter if petrol coming through with a long finish. Still a few teas of its peak. A

September 9, 2023 - Pretty good but still evolving. Primary characteristics are a mix of lime and straw with just a hint of honey and petroleum. Acid has definitely mellowed. I’d give it a few more years

August 1, 2023 - Golden with flecks of green. Full of energy. Good complexity and mature character to it - it's not so wincingly lean and unapproachable as Polish Hill is in its youth, it has loads of relaxed orange blossom and petrol characer.

November 24, 2022 - Lots of sweet lime and guava and even papaya as it flows over the palate for an oh-so-long finish. It is constantly finding new flavours to serve up and satisfy. Never had a bad bottle.

October 14, 2021 - Fresh squeezed lemons, plastic pool toy, rubber hose. Lemon zest and lemon spice to finish. Must be the most acidic Riesling I’ve ever encountered. With a few hours, hints of honeysuckle. (@ 38 W 74)

May 5, 2021 - In line with my previous notes, but with a hint of peach on the nose this time. Nevertheless the aromas are dominated by green herbs and a dose of smoke. The palate is racy and electric from the acidity, but there is adequate breadth here to keep this from becoming emaciated.

February 13, 2021 - This is just so utterly clean and precise. Sometimes I find Polish Hill just a bit exhaustingly austere but this has had the edges sanded down a bit - loads of lime, orange blossom, white flowers, everything you want in Clare Riesling, along with some river water/wet stone/oyster shell. No trace of petrol. Still so young - will it ever age?

December 4, 2020 - Schwa DIY (Chicago, IL): "smoked trout roe: peach, bourbon, basil" Brilliant, as always. Consistent with my previous note, this is a really bright and vibrant bottle of riesling, very typical of the grape but clearly not a product of the Teutonic wine-growing regions. Racing acidity but also a richness and breadth of fruit that prevents this from being all about the acid.

October 16, 2020 - I think I have increased my tolerance for dry riesling significantly over the last few years. This is an eminently drinkable version of such. The nose is has citrus, makrut lime, pineapple, and a bit of petrol while the palate is chock full of the same fruit in a very shapely and acid-driven package. Beautiful minerality, and despite the screw cap, no signs of any reductive flaws. Wonderful stuff.

March 1, 2019 - It was pleasant but somehow seemed a bit one-dimensional or lacking complexity compared to a different vintage of this wine we tried earlier. Perhaps it's still a bit too young?
