June 7, 2022 - kinda heavy oaky wine. lacks freshness or spice

June 12, 2019 - Moderate depth of fruit, quite mineral, seems to show some wood notes? maybe lees? Today this bottle is not giving up a lot.

March 25, 2018 - Cassoulet at Bill's (Wilmette, IL): As far as northern Rhones go, this too was alright. This was dominated by a green apple note (sans the acidity), almost to the point of being overwhelming. The acidity is there but it's relatively low. This just doesn't have enough cut. There's a nice bunch of florals here as well, but for me, it's the bitterness on the backend and the lack of acidity that really kills it for me.

February 12, 2016 - Having enjoyed the producers cote Rotie this was my fist taste of their condrieu and like their reds this was a wonderful example, after a 2 hour slow ox, the nose had white peach, florals, spices, and a subtle mineral component, the palate was rich, but really fresh and persistent with some lemon peel, stones and spice notes and showed little of the oily texture or big feel you can get from condrieu will be buying more of this!

January 16, 2016 - PNP at an upscale Chinese - Szechuan BYOB. Nose was a tad muted because the wine was poured too cold. When it warmed in the glass it gave off scents of white flowers, jasmine, and white pepper. Unctuous on the palate with flavors of ginger, grapefruit pith, and strong white pepper. Only slightly oily as Viogner can be sometimes. Paired well with a simple lunch of scallion pancake and shrimp with Thai chile and celery. Not quite up to the richness and class of a Vernay, but solid nonetheless.
