October 28, 2023 - Almost ten months since our previous bottle and this wine is still going strong - and showing some further development. Decanted for 30 minutes (I did read my earlier TN) which allowed some funk to blow off and to separate out some sediment. The color was a deep dark purple. Dark fruits, spice and earth on the nose. The medium to plus bodied palate showed heavy veins of dark red and black fruit, spice, a hefty dose of earth, and touches of chocolate and black licorice. The acidity was up to the task of balancing the wine while there were some drying tannins on the finish. This wine will continue to hold for several years.

January 9, 2023 - Should have read my previous TN: This bottle was slo-oxed for 15 minutes and the wine continued to open through the first half of the meal -- a good 30 minute decant would have been better. The color was a deep dark purple to a faded rim. Lots of dark fruits and some spice on the nose. The medium bodied palate revealed a bowl of dark red, blue and black fruits with lots of spice and pepper. The acidity was juicy but enough to balance all the fruit, and there was just a hint of tannins on the finish. This wine should continue to hold for some time.

December 24, 2022 - Still showing that primary fruit on the nose as expected from these wines. Dark purple in the glass with just a slight rim variation showing a little aging. Showing great after 30-45 minutes with the tannins, alcohol (15.4%) and acidity all coming together. Pepper, spices along with the dark berry/fruit and a little oak.

December 28, 2021 - Based on other TNs this bottle was decanted for about 45 minutes -- to allow this wine to come alive, while separating out a small amount of sediment. The nose is all about the red and dark red fruits, with a background of earth. All of these flavors followed on to the medium to plus bodied palate along with a touch of oak, integrated tannins and nicely balancing acidity. This wine should hold for several more years. Enjoy with AIR!

December 20, 2021 - Decanted and showing moderate sediment.
Aromas showing moderate intensity in the glass with notes of cherry cola, blueberry reduction, and grilled plum that come with notes of grilled Mediterranean meats, demi-glace, Moorish coffee, mountain herbs, earth and hints of vanilla creme and potpourri.
The palate shows liveliness with mouthwatering acidity and still firm, but integrated tannins. above moderate weight brings a nice balance between fruit and savory notes; a combination of dried and jammy blueberry and cherry with notes of grilled plum, fig preserves, spice, cola, deep coffee tones, earth, grilled meats, herbs, smoke and cola. The finish persists. Drinking lovely at the moment
41% Syrah, 37% Grenache, 18% Mourvedre, 4%Tannat aged 22 months in French oak (55% new).
