January 16, 2024 - Brownish red in color. Nice acidity, not a lot of fruit left. It has held up well for 12 years.

September 5, 2021 - 92+funky upon opening. Just needs time in the glass, color is definitely bricking to a beautiful hue of orange. Not too much fruit left, good acidity and a medium minus finish. In a place that is not for everyone and doesn’t have that much life left. But I thoroughly enjoyed it!

February 1, 2018 - Nice whole cluster scenting the nose, with an equal amount of herbal qualities in flavor and mouthfeel. That said, it's getting a little tired in the fruit category.

April 13, 2016 - I initially thought it was doa upon opening, however it just needed a one and a half hour decant to open up. Cherry and dark fruits in the nose although the color of the wine had faded a bit to a light ruby appearance. Very smooth wine with subdued acidity and almost no tannin to speak of. Interestingly enough , picked up on a note of fried chicken(Scott) and hamburger(Simona) once the wine was decanted.

June 29, 2015 - Willamette Valley late June tastings: Aromas of fig, vanilla, turned earth and anise. Silky, rich and perfumey on the palate with sweet red fruit and spice throughout. Silky broad tannins, spice on the finish.
