March 28, 2023 - This was simple - still had fruit (raspberry and strawberry,), not much complexity. Certainly not offensive and still has some time.
March 24, 2023 - still drinking well. consistent with previous notes
March 14, 2021 - drinking quite well with vibrant strawberry fruit, spice and a bit of earth.
December 21, 2019 - just OK in all dimensions, unlike previous bottles. could be approaching the end of its vibrant life.
August 25, 2019 - Very good.
Had with a Porterhouse steak.
July 12, 2019 - Michigania
January 31, 2018 - From the excellent 2012 Oregon vintage, this wine is evolving nicely. Dark garnet. Fruit and mineral nose. Firm acidity is softening, revealing a nice core of sweet fruit leading to a long still slightly firm finish. Nice Willamette Valley pinot. January 2019 update (note:must let this breathe 1-2 hours; it becomes a different wine): still dark garnet, medium body, noticeable acidity, and nice sweet pure berry/cherry fruit. Starting to develop some pleasant secondary age flavors. If this were a Volnay you’d be delighted!
July 24, 2016 - Really nice example of 2012 Willamette Pinot. Intense black cherry nose, tobacco notes. Does not do well with oxidation
June 4, 2016 - Last bottle. Shared with Kate at the Beacon. Best one of these yet. Maybe I should have saved them for longer. But they were too delicious along the way. Willamette character is finally beginning to shine through now. So if you have more left, enjoy!
April 1, 2016 - Floral bouquet upon opening, but shifted within 5-7 minutes to rotten egg. Regarding taste, nothing to special... Light Pinot, nothing particularly complex.
