December 20, 2017 - Clear, pale intensity, garnet color.

There has been some serious development here since I last tasted this in December 2015. There's, of course, a good amount of funk along with wormwood, green peppercorns, lavender, bruised earthy strawberries, oxidized apples and kriek.

Medium bodied, very sleek and juicy with vibrant acidity and smooth tannins. Decent intensity to the flavors showing bruised red berries, kriek, fresh herbs, lavender and apple skin. The finish is fresh and sappy and lingers for a while.

Very quaffable and enjoyable wine if one likes the style. As mentioned above there's been lots of development on short time so I wouldn't hold these bottles for too long now.

July 14, 2016 - Not as alluring as the Toute Beaute, but still definitely a Ganevat. Quirky and fun but didn't sell me like the others in his lineup. Out of magnum, in a good drinking window right now. Maybe this one just needs more time?

May 29, 2016 - Less impressive than the first bottle I tasted. More rustic and funky. Still good and enjoyable. A casual wine for immediate enjoyment.

May 13, 2016 - HDH auction tasting at Tru; 5/13/2016-5/14/2016 (Chicago, IL): I'm wholly disappointed that this label didn't have a naked lady on it. This is quite reductively stanky at first, but this does fortunately blow off with air. The palate is very bright, with tons of super bright red fruit. It's really crunchy too. The fruit doesn't seem to balance as well with the acidity and tannin here though, and the acidity pokes up just a little bit too much. Pretty interesting stuff, even if I can't see myself reaching for a bottle of this.

May 6, 2016 - From memory. Garnet to violet edges. Lightly spicy black berry nose, dark berry palate reminiscent of passe tout grains, just a little wilder. Quite tasty but not as impressive as its sister wine, Toute Beaute. Enjoyed with vegetarian pizza.

April 17, 2016 - Not too shabby. Funky, juicy, with some "dirty" components around the fruit. Nice drinkabiliy with only 12% Alc. Very good with food.

January 18, 2016 - Funky manure, gun powder, iodine, spicy green aromas, flowers, wet gravel, wet soil, bruised apple and rhubarbs. Dry with a medium+ acidity, fresh, vibrant fruit, rough tannins and a slight bitterness to the finish. Good intensity and length. A bit young and primary, will keep the next bottle for a year or two.

December 12, 2015 - Pale intensity, ruby color.

Youthful nose with a medium intensity. It starts off with brett, gun powder and lavender but develops fresh red berries, spice box, gravel dust, fresh herbs and old red apples.

Medium bodied with a medium(+) acidity and medium tannins. Medium intensity with lots of juicy, primary red fruit, spice box and gun powder. Fresh and easy-drinking! Could use some cellaring to gain more harmony and loose that real primary feeling.
