  April 29, 2023 - Notes of leather, black cherry, cola and cedar. Very fine smooth soft dry tannins. Medium acidity. Slightly sweet herbaceous flavors, a bit of earth and rounded medium length finish. Aged well. Expected more complexity which would have improved the score to ab a 91-92.

  July 2, 2018 - Ripe red plums on the nose. Plums and dark cherry fruit burst on the palate. Polished tannins and great acidity, lovely balance among all the elements. A bit of smoke and charred meat as well. Long, very nice finish of dark fruits and cleansing acidity. Not the most profound wine I have ever tasted, but a delight to drink and it pairs well with food. Not a bit of heat. Nice stuff.

  February 7, 2018 - My first impression was not good. An hour after opening the bottle, I found it to be tannic with a short finish and little fruit. The bottle was open for a good three hours on the first day. On day two after another hour of air the fruit arrived, the tannins smoothed out and I thought it was actually pretty decent. Not too complex but an OK bottle. That said, I think there's better values out there. Though it was good on the second day, I don't intend to buy more.
