March 5, 2024 - Delightful. Smoky, deep great with chocolate.

January 9, 2024 - The nose shows bright fruits - cherries, stewed strawberries, mulberries. Elegant. Nice acidity, fresh and round with again bright plums, blackberries, strawberries. Semi-integrated tannins, with medium+ ending that shows some vanilla notes and even incense. Straigthforward but very well made - faultless Syrah. On the fresher side but still with good structure. I wouldn’t wait much longer to drink as this is in a great spot now. Doesn’t have any particular wow factor but it delivers - especially given the price.

    P.S.
-I am upping the score on day 2. This was more fragrant, more complex after a good 22 hours. Much better and much more enjoyable.

January 15, 2022 - Very fruit forward and bold. Full body.

December 29, 2021 - Grilled meat and seared bacon in the nose. Everything world class Syrah is supposed to be. Rich, smoky and savory, with stunning pepper on the finish.

September 12, 2020 - Decanted for 1.5 hrs. Initially had a serious Benadryl/cherry cough syrup smell and taste. This blew off after another half hour or so to reveal a very fruity blueberry tinged aroma with some leather and pencil shavings on the palate. Some smoke and spices on the slightly sweet finish leave a positive impact. would have scored much higher without the initial distraction ( and we're Stolpman devotees!)
