December 15, 2019 - Opened this a few weeks after picking up and tasting the 2016 at the release. This bottle reassured me of what I was impressed with and loved about their wines. There was soy sauce, hoisin, dark pitched berries, fresh cracked pepper with umami stacked in the mid-palate.

I opened this because I was unimpressed with the 2016 and it left something to be desired. There just wasn't the stuffing that I was used to from Torrin. I later found out that the 2016 was sourced from fruit whic came from several Santa Barbara County vineyards so it's not the same fruit. I was comparing apples to oranges.

In the end, the 2012 was a great bottle but I'm not sure I'm going to be continuing to follow at this point.

June 29, 2019 - I let it breathe in the opened bottle for a couple hours, then had it with tri-tip. An amazing wine. Dark, dense, and delicious. Surprisingly low amount of sediment in the bottle. Great balance with a long finish.

April 30, 2019 - Beautiful fruit and soft tannins with nice spice and expressive nose.

April 5, 2019 - Drinking quite well now. Still very concentrated with nice tannins, so could clearly be solid for a few more years.
