May 19, 2023 - PnP, but better after 15 minutes of air. Definitely showing some age but better than the bottle of 2012 that we had a couple of months ago. Some bright red and dark red fruit on the nose. These follow on to the medium bodied palate along with some spice, earth notes and minerality. The acidity is juicy but balancing. Could hold for another year or so, but best to drink sooner.

February 18, 2020 - Very good. Mature, probably at peak. Blind, I probably would have guessed OR. Ample red fruits, dried forest leaves, mushrooms, and some tertiary notes emerging. Good enough acidity. Excellent producer.

January 5, 2020 - This was excellent. Blind, I probably would have guessed OR. Ample red fruits, dried forest leaves, mushrooms, and some tertiary notes emerging. In my experience, Big Basin PNs are among the few CA PNs that reward cellaring, This bottle adds to this belief. My only minor complaint was a bit of a deficit in the acidity department, but apart from that, a truly good PN. Will revisit my one remaining bottle in 1 yr or so.

January 5, 2018 - This tart and ripe Pinot is drinking well right now, with a few hours of air. Light red in color, medium in body, nose of cranberry, thyme, and straw. Tastes of pomegranate, rhubarb, sour cherry, and spices, with a sour and lingering finish. 12.8% alcohol. This is a bit too stemmy for me (76% whole cluster apparently), but it's a quality CA Pinot priced under $40 - so, no complaints here, but not much excitement, either.

September 24, 2017 - Love this. So balanced and bright. Packed with mixed red fruit and mineral.
