August 19, 2023 - 1hr+ decant. Very dark red color. Dark cherries and subtle baking spice on the nose. Classic Napa sweetness on the palate and super deep wine. Medium plus finish. Really enjoyed this!

March 19, 2022 - 1hr+ decant. Lovely dark red color. This is like Candy. A mix of Amarone and Napa Cab. Cherries and blackberries with a creaminess to it in an appealing way. Very deep. Medium plus finish. Give lots of air as it’s still young. Probably not that most enticing QPR, but enjoyed it.

September 22, 2021 - This bright and layered Cabernet is drinking fine right now, with a red-fruit driven precision that is somewhat rare for the generous 2012 vintage. Dark purple in color; full in body; aromas of blackberry, black cherry, graphite, and burnt toast. Flavors of boysenberry, spice cake, dried leather, and thyme, with a lifted finish with crunchy tannins.
This is more tight and (truth be told) tart than many 2012s, but it is tasty all the same. Made by Tony Biagi in his first vintage at Hourglass, after taking over for Bob Foley. 14.8% alcohol. I'd give this a few more years, since it might gain fullness with time. 93+ at the moment.1 person found this helpful Comments (2) -
