August 21, 2023 - Just wonderful wine predominately Sirah. Has years left. Great Central Coast product of doing it right.
April 26, 2023 - Wonderful Syrah! Blackberry and raspberry are dominant on the nose, with a hint of cinnamon and pepper; ripe, sweet dark fruit carries through on the palate; lingering finish. Saving my last bottle for a few more years...
January 21, 2022 - Not ready yet. On second night via Coravin, I let it sit in glass for a few hours and it began to come together and open. I’ve had earlier vintages that I enjoyed more; I think in another 2-3 years this will be more to my liking.
December 22, 2021 - Opened and pnp'd - dark red fruit on the nose, the palate was dark cherry, plum, currant and a hint of spice leading to a moderately long finish.
December 21, 2021 - Nice wine … served with eggplant parmigiana
June 28, 2021 - See previous note, this still has a fairly jammy presentation but the balance is quite good, the opportunity to breathe for a couple of hours in advance of tasting combined with a little more age made this easier to enjoy.
April 15, 2021 - The 2012 Jonata Todos is a kitchen sink blend from the Jonata estates featuring a half dozen varietals. Black currants, chocolate, spices. You can't ask for much more for a $55 bottle. Drink anytime over the next five years.
March 9, 2021 - Decanted for 20 minutes through a coffee filter, with light to medium sediment removed. The wine is light with bright acidity, and with the salmon we had tonight it drank as much like a red bergundy as the Syrah blend that it is. The tannins that earlier reviewers found have mellowed, and the wine is well balanced.
March 5, 2021 - Drank over 3 fine nights via coravin, I'd love to spend the evening with a bottle next time. A couple hours decant helps. Intoxicating nose. How cana a grape smell like that? Enjoyed more than the 2013.
December 19, 2020 - My personal perception is this wine is possibly fading. I felt it showed more on day 2 but in a cloying way. I will say I purchased it late and therefore not positive how well it was cellared before it became a victim of my desire.
