December 10, 2021 - Expressive from first pour - needed 20-mins to open but not a huge change over an hour+. Nose of dark plums, anise, leather, violets, graphite, and earth. Full bodied and soft w/ black cherries and plums.

September 9, 2020 - Gareth's Post-lockdown Piedmont (Noize): Rich and floral, at first sniff this brought to mind a ripe Beaujolais. Although certainly a warm, dense wine, it had sufficient acidity to keep it in balance. A pleasure to drink but not particularly complex.

February 8, 2020 - Dense, meaty, rich, plenty in hand. Excellent.

April 2, 2015 - Dark garnet faintly bricking at the edges. Violets, blackberry, sour cherry, and tar on the nose. Red fruits and violets give way to layers of blackberry, chocolate and tar. Tannin still firm and fine. Great mouth feel and a long finish.

February 8, 2015 - Very dark red and just faintly bricking. Rich nose of violets, tar, baked fruit, and sweet black fruits. Medium bodied, good acidity, showing tar, tobacco, sweet black fruits, and baked fruit. Tannins are present but integrating nicely. Medium plus finish.
