September 29, 2020 - Bressler is consistently one of the best wines, to my palate, in all of Napa. This bottle didn’t disappoint. I really love the balanced, elegant style and I am saddened that they no longer produce this beautiful Cabernet.

    September 26, 2020 - WIML94

Tasted non blind. Glass decanted about 1 hour before serving.

Dark garnet, almost purple color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of lavender, soapstone, black currants and dark plums. Flavors of black raspberries, boysenberries, dark plums and a dash of black cherries. Medium to tangy acidity, medium to firm tannin, full bodied. Drink now with a little air time or continue to hold.

August 29, 2020 - Needs time to breath if opened now but could use some more time in bottle as well. Best glass was after 2.5 hours and it seemed like it was continuing to improve. Oak was integrating and fruit was adding depth and weight. Love these wines.

October 27, 2019 - The 2012 is a real beauty that is just starting to emerge. If you drink now decant for 1 to 2 hours. Wonderful nose of red and black fruit that follows on the palate. There is a slight richness to it and the tannin is silky but present providing nice structure. This is still pretty young but very much in the Bressler style. A beautiful wine.

October 11, 2017 - A good Cabernet that is still young, softener and more elegant in style. This 2012 Bressler is nicely constructed, but tends more toward the feminine side and restrained at this point by my estimation. This wine begins with a lovely nose of fresh lavender violets, and a lovely deep brooding dark purple red color. On the pallet nice but muted flavors. I gaive this wine about four hours to breathe, yet it’s still tight and inhibited. Perhaps this is one of those wines that requires more time to really open up. With 1/2 of a bottle left, I’ll have more to say Cabernet. 90.6 Points for now.

Day two: Showing better than day one, as expressed earlier, beautiful vibrant, lively dark purple red color and the captivating nose is still present along with flavors have come to life. On the palate, dark dry berries, tart berry fruit, cranberries, dark bittersweet chocolate and some acidity. There is an elegance and leanness to this wine, no massive extraction. For the record I do like good extraction, but I don’t like it over done - Caymus 2012 for example. All in all, I would call this is a pretty decent wine. I wouldn’t invest too deep in it, but I will pick up another bottle or two to lay on the rack just to see how it develops with this wine bottle age. 92+ Points.
