March 24, 2024 - It is a great bottle of wine. Opened 3 hours in advance and allowed to slow ox. Dark fruit on the nose. The palate was dark berries and red berries, red plums, tree bark, tobacco and a hint of spice. The finish ijust goes on and on and on.

February 21, 2024 - The wine is deep ruby/brick (in between… definitely transitioning to brick). It is dry, very full bodied, and high alcohol with intense aromas off blackberry, blueberry, licorice, violets, and cinnamon. It has intense flavors of blackberry, mulberry, cassis, leather, and a hint of clove. It has medium tannins (with no edge) and a medium length in the finish, which is not particularly interesting… probably the only weakness in this superb wine. This is an excellent wine though. Wish I had more!

October 20, 2023 - Decanted for over 4 hours. This is a fun eclectic blend. Drinking beautifully. Full bodied and well balanced with fruit, tannin, acidity, alcohol and a medium dry finish. Tannins are well integrated. However fruit and oak are dominant on the palate. Hints of licorice are present on the back end. Probably has another 5 years of life left in it. Drink or hold.

February 12, 2023 - Nothing has changed since my 2018 note - same decant time, same results. I can't really complain, as it's easy to drink and appreciate, but I'm wondering just how long this might be able to rest in a cellar before any meaningful evolution occurs...

January 16, 2023 - According to the label, this is a mix of 33% Mourvedre, 33% Zinfandel, 13% Petite Syrah, 12% Syrah, and 8% Tempranillo. So a Paso Robles field blend, I guess. It opens very much like a Cali Zin, fruit forward in a brambly style, with notes of blackberry and boysenberry, followed by secondary notes of oak and earth. Made in a new world style that clocks in at a burly 15.9% ABV. Still fruit and oak forward at 10 years old. This is not for everyone, but is well made for those that enjoy that style.

November 1, 2022 - Pop and pour. Color doesn't show almost a decade of age. Beautiful nose, expressive fruit, long finish. Really enjoyable.

We did save a glass or so for the next day and it was really amazing. Softened up even more. This wine can last at least another five years

September 30, 2022 - Continues to be very good. Fruits may have faded a bit. Strong but supple tannins.
