October 13, 2019 - Dark cherry, strawberry, sweet kirsch liquor, licorice, raisin, cinnamon and vanilla. Very good balance and length with a velvety texture. Very good, but not one of the best Saxum’s I’ve had.

October 12, 2019 - Drank out of the bottle over the course of 4 hours. This is halfway through its life drinking exactly how one would expect. Jammy black/blue fruit up front with acidity and alcohol just starting to mellow on the finish. Likely 2-3 years to peak.

October 9, 2019 - Nose: smoke, bacon fat, leather, river rock, Espresso bean

Palate: BIG, firm tannins, great acid, ripe blue fruit, and bell pepper

Such a sophisticated wine with loads of flavor and expression. Not in your face like stuff from the James Berry Vineyard but a more subtle expression of fruit and an excellent foodie wine. We paired our bottle with grilled lamb heart and couldn't have hoped for a better pairing.

October 5, 2019 - Initially the nose presents huge amounts of white and black pepper, but with air it reveals jammy red and dark fruits, licorice and game. Fair amount of pepper and spice on the palate, ends with a good finish.
